1. Christmas Cookies

2. Build a Snowman
If you have a white Christmas, head outside into the snow with your kids and build a snowman or have a snowball fight. If it is just too cold and icy to head outside, stay indoors and enjoy a favorite board game or card game. Jigsaw puzzles are another great family activity. Choose one with a holiday theme to reflect the spirit of the season.
3. Holiday Light Watching
In many towns and cities, certain neighborhoods put on elaborate displays of holiday lights. Taking a drive around one of these neighborhoods can be very enjoyable for you and your kids. Admire the amazing displays and see which one each of you likes the best.
4. Holiday Performances
There are many classic Christmas shows performed during the holiday season. For many families, Christmas is not complete without a trip to see “The Nutcracker” or another holiday show. There may also be holiday concerts or sing-alongs in your area where you can listen to all of your favorite Christmas carols.
5. Christmas Decoration
Decorating the Christmas tree is a favorite family activity that you and your kids can do together. As they get older, let them have more of a say in how the tree looks. Give them a special ornament each year as a gift that they can hang on the tree.
6. Holiday Sharing
If you want to share the true meaning of Christmas with your kids, take them to a soup kitchen or food pantry and volunteer to feed the homeless. Many people do not get to enjoy a delicious Christmas dinner with their families because they are down on their luck. Taking some time to help the less fortunate is a great Christmas activity for the whole family.
7. Christmas Movies
There are many great Christmas movies and television specials that you can watch with your kids. From “It’s a Wonderful Life” to “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” these great shows are a holiday tradition that your kids will love.
